The Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival is approaching its 16th year of flying! We are so excited that you are interested in coming to this year's event featuring 50+ balloons from across the country!
General Admission: FREE! Come watch live entertainment on Friday and Saturday night for free! There is no cost to come watch the balloons fly (weather and wind permitting)!
**Balloons are NOT visible during the day. Balloons are ONLY visible at dusk & dawn wind & weather permitting!
Dates: August 27- Balloon Glow at OWA from 6pm - 8pm
August 28 - Festival Grounds from 2pm - 10pm (open to public)
August 29 - Festival Grounds from 9am - 10pm (open to public)
🎈 Parking and shuttle service is available at OWA between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Shuttle charge is $2 per person; round trip. Children 12 and under ride free. You will pay once you arrive at the festival grounds. Park your car and enjoy the ride!
🎈 We recommend our VIP parking pass, which allows you to park closest to the festival grounds. Your $20 pass is good for the entire weekend. Purchase tickets online and be sure to bring your printed proof of purchase for display onsite.
🎈 Pay onsite or purchase our general parking pass online. General parking pass is good for one day only. This parking is on festival grounds, just a bit beyond the VIP area. Check out the festival map above for a site overview.
NOTE: Onsite parking will close at 8:00 each night. Anyone joining us to hear the bands after 8 p.m. will need to ride the shuttle from OWA. To better assist those who leave the festival, all entrances to onsite parking will be turned to exits at 8 p.m.
🎈 Tethered Rides: 8 hot air balloons will give rides to those who have paid for a ticket (wind and weather permitting). The balloons are tied to the ground using ropes and go up in the air about 45-50ft. Balloons will be visible and begin setting up around dusk (wind and weather permitting). This is great for all ages! Get the chance to get inside a hot air balloon and meet the pilot! We recommend you get to the festival grounds early! Rides are weather dependent and NO REFUNDS will be ALLOWED in the event of high winds or weather. We recommend you are there 2 hours prior to sunset (about 5:00pm) Ticket booth will open at 5:00 pm, we will have a limited number available onsite for sale.
