Local Stylist Presents “SLAY THE RUNWAY” Fashion Show to Raise Awareness for Childhood Literacy
D&J’s Favorite Things, LLC partners with Literacy 4 Life with goal to collect 1000 books at trendy runway event
Mobile, Alabama — This Spring, CEO and Owner of D&J's Favorite Things, LLC, Sara Smith-Redmond, has partnered with Literacy 4 Life to host a fabulous fashion event on March 30, 2019 at 7:00 pm. The show will take place at The Locale located at 4128 Government Boulevard in Mobile, Alabama. This annual runway show is created to encourage development in the areas of fashion design and modeling as well as to enhance the visibility of independent fashion designers, models, and professionals affiliated with the local fashion and modeling industries.
The “Slay the Runway” fashion experience will be an entertaining evening featuring a host of talented independent fashion designers, models, and business owners.. “I believe that presenting new ways to look and feel beautiful improves the confidence in men and women of all ages”, says Sara. She adds, “We are so excited to contribute to building the strength of our communities. We all believe literacy and education builds confidence as well as communities! We are asking all attendees and participants to donate lightly used or new books. Our goal is to collect 1000 books! We hope that our attendees don’t just feel beautiful and confident on the outside, but on the inside, as well.”
